WHERE THE SUN MEETS THE SAND
The Caribbean is not just one breathtaking island destination, but an archipelago of over five-thousand! Puerto Rico, Aruba, Haiti, Tobago, St. Maarten, Bonaire— these are only a few of the amazing and varied isles worth visiting. While each place has its own set of charms, and should be researched individually, this overview aims to give general background information on traveling to the Caribbean, as well as to highlight some of the absolute best sights, activities, and experiences.
50 minutes in the sky from were we took off to our destination. It was the shortest flight I’ve ever pleasantly taken. I’m totally that person glued to the window of a plane. I wasn’t sure if the ground I was viewing was indeed earth or a vivid resin art masterpiece. Turquoise is truly the color of these islands. I’ve visited Nassau before, but that was an entirely different experience. My opinion of the Bahama’s really transformed after this trip. It was more serene, more isolated and more steady.
Today Kristi tells us all about Jamaica where she lives for about 6 months a year. Kristi keeps a blog www.jamaicamyway.com which documents her life in Jamaica and provides destination guides as well as reviews of accommodation, restaurants and tours. I love how she describes her relationship with the island as ‘Jamaica has conquered me.’ She is clearly passionate about the place and loves being able to call it home!
